Collette
Fortin entered jewelry creation after a long, successful career in fashion
design. She went back to the Fashion Institute of Technology, in Manhattan,
where she had previously received her Bachelor's degree in fashion design,
and graduated summa cum laude in Jewelry Design in 1995. Collette then
began an eighteen-month-long apprenticeship with the famous goldsmith,
Marne Ryan. She works in her design studios in both Manhattan and Ridge,
