Collette's 2003 Show Schedule. |
Collette Fortin crafts this fine jewelry by hand from gold, sterling silver, brass and copper. Each of the designs is cut out of the metal with her goldsmith's saw. Collette uses precious and semiprecious gemstones to accentuate the character of the metals and the original design of each unique piece. She mounts each gemstone into the work herself. Each of the pieces of sterling silver and gold jewelry shown here is personally handmade by Collette in her studios in Ridge, NY and in the Tribecca district of Manhattan, NY. Each piece of Collette's jewelry can be custom made to your own wishes, incorporating your own individual choice of gemstones. Here are just a few samples of Collette's award-winning jewelry. Please explore this site by clicking on the pictures of the jewelry pieces, and on the buttons at the bottom of each page. |

This intricate neckpiece features an unbelievablely beautiful teardrop-shaped watermelon tourmaline gemstone beneath a tour-de-force of hand-pierced cutwork in Copper and Brass. Other gemstones include Peridot, Citrene & Garnet. Tourmaline, Garnet and Citrene beads surround your neck as you wear this unique piece of Maya-inspired jewelry. |
POLYPOD JEWELRY |
Collette's other principal line of jewelry, called the POLYPOD series, incorporates unusual metal treatments and brilliant gemstones into fanciful shapes. In this series, Collette's creative genius shines through. The brass on silver shapes, created by hand by Collette using a technique called "marriage of metals," produce a true work of art.
